5000 Morris Dancers - 3rd-5th Sept - The Southbank Centre, London - film newly released From Fri 3rd - Sun 5th Sept David Owen's daring, irreverent and humorous artworks will take over London's Southbank Centre with a large-scale installation of morris-inspired images. Media interest in the event, and its associated programme of live music (including Imagined Village, The Demon Barber Roadshow and A Celebration of Morris On), film and dance, is reaching an ear-pounding buzz. One hundred of the best morris dancers in England will converge on London's Embankment in free performances to show just how good, good morris dancing can be. Tim Plester and Rob Curry will also unveil their full-length documentary Way Of the Morris in two free viewings. Tim and Rob have also directed a short film to preview the whole weekend - it'll make you laugh, needs the sound up loud and is one to pass on to friends.
